Brussels Lines – Support

Brussels Lines shows STIB-MIVB lines, their stops, vehicle positions and real-time departures in Brussels.

Brussels Lines is an unofficial app. It is not published or endorsed by STIB-MIVB. The data comes from the STIB-MIVB Open Data platform.

Using the app

Lines

• Each line appears twice, once per direction.
• Use the search field to find a line by number or destination.
• Swipe a line to the left and tap Move to top to put it at the top of the list.
• The … button offers Reorder lines (drag and drop) and Reset order.
• Noctis night lines are always in the list. Real-time information is only available while they run.

Stops on a line

• Stops are shown in route order.
• An orange dot means a vehicle is at that stop.
• Positions update every 15 seconds while the screen is open. Pull down to refresh right away.

Next departures

• Tap a stop to see the next departures of every line serving it, along with STIB-MIVB service messages.
• Pull down to refresh.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there no timetables?

The STIB-MIVB open data does not provide a timetable per stop. The app only shows real-time next departures.

Why are no departures or vehicles shown?

Check your internet connection. If the line is not running at that moment (for example, a night line during the day), no real-time data is available. The data may also be temporarily unavailable on the STIB-MIVB side.

Is the information accurate?

The app shows the data as published by STIB-MIVB, which updates it about every 20 seconds. It may be incomplete or slightly delayed. When in doubt, rely on official STIB-MIVB information.

Does the app work offline?

The line list and the names of stops you have already viewed remain available offline. Vehicle positions and next departures need an internet connection.

Which languages are available?

English, French and Dutch, following your iPhone’s language. Stop names are in French or Dutch.

Accessibility

Brussels Lines supports VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text (Dynamic Type), Reduce Motion and Differentiate Without Colour.

Privacy

• The app requires no account.
• It does not collect personal data and uses no tracking or analytics tools.
• Your line order and cached data are stored only on your device.
• To get its data, the app connects to the STIB-MIVB Open Data platform.
